Program Description:

General

The Universidad del Rosario ("Rosario") in Bogotá, Colombia was founded in 1653 for the study of philosophy, theology, law, and medicine. Since its founding the institution has been "of" and "for" its students. The school's mission is to educate young leaders based on the principles of critical thinking, strong ethical training and a high sense of responsibility.

At the Faculty of Law students acquire the ability to describe, analyze, evaluate and interpret the various provisions of national and international legal systems. The law school allows for specialization in several areas of law including Hydrocarbon Law, Labor Law and Social Security, Civil Law, Criminal Law, and Administrative Law. The law school has also begun and continues to develop the process of globalization and has several agreements with schools in the U.S. and Europe which allow students to participate in exchange and dual-degree programs.
