Program Description:
Sungkyunkwan University is the oldest university in East Asia and was founded at the beginning of the Joseon Dynasty in 1398 as the highest national educational institute in the early years of the Joseon Dynasty in Korea. SKKU's main ideology teaches that SKKU students strive to perfect themselves as leaders and contribute to our society. SKKU is currently engaged in achieveing what it refers to as VISION 2020. VISION 2020 represents SKKU's dream and successfull efforts to become one of the Global Leading Universities in the world. SKKU will strive to realize this vision by providing world-class education and producing world-class research outcomes that are recognized globally. Through these endeavors, SKKU aims to become the global hub university for knowledge and human networks. 
Language of Instruction:

The official language of instruction at SKKU is Korean, however, over 30% of the courses offered at SKKU are taught in English.

SKKU also provides exchange students with two types of Korean Language Courses: RKP (Regular Korean Program) and RKP for Exchange Students. A tuition waiver is provided for both programs to all exchange students.

On campus housing is available for exchange students. Students can also find housing off campus if they wish.
